Nature Is My Church
And for over 15 years, I’ve been holding sacred space under Montana’s endless sky.

Next to a raging mountain creek, I stood at my first wedding and watched two people look at each other like nothing else in the world existed. I thought: this is it. This is the most important moment of this entire celebration. Not the flowers, not the venue, not the playlist. This.
That feeling never left me. Five hundred weddings later, it still hasn’t.
I never planned to be a wedding officiant; it’s something that evolved through my spiritual studies and counseling work. When I moved to Bozeman in my mid-twenties, if someone had told me I’d spend my days frolicking through amazing places—ski slopes, alpine meadows, riverside banks, Yellowstone, Glacier, Grand Teton —helping couples say the words that create something sacred, I would have thought they were crazy.
And I would have been right. The best kind of crazy.
Here’s what I’ve learned in 500 ceremonies:
Every couple deserves a ceremony that feels unmistakably theirs. Whether you want me to weave your story—how you met, what makes you laugh, the traditions your families hold dear, the words that mean something to you—into something that honors exactly who you are, or just want the basics to make it legal, I will help you every step of the way.
Want to honor your heritage with a handfasting? I can do that. Wine or whiskey toast? We’ll make it meaningful. Maybe you’re blending families and need your kids involved in an appropriate way? That was my first ceremony! Whatever your situation, I have scripts or we’ll write something brand new just for you. Cultural traditions, religious elements, completely non-religious celebrations, fun things you dreamed up yourself—bring it to me, and we’ll make it happen.
I officiate at grand venues with 200 guests. I officiate quiet elopements with just the two of you on a mountaintop. And of course, everything in between. Every single one matters to me the same and I’d love to help you create a ceremony that reflects who you are as a couple.
The moment that gets me every time:

There’s this point in every ceremony where the whole world goes quiet. It’s usually right when the vows begin. Everyone leans in a little. The couple’s hands are shaking. And then one of them starts to speak, and you can hear the love in every word.
I have the incredible privilege of standing three feet away from that moment.
I usually tear up right along with you. Because I take all that sincerity, the commitment, the devotion, and I wrap it up and bring it home to my marriage of 20 years. It is such a gift and I never take any of it for granted.
Going the distance—literally:
As a Universal Life Church minister based in beautiful Bozeman, Montana, I work with all belief systems and travel up to 500 miles to bring your vision to life. I show up early. I guide your families into the moment. I bring the calm, the confidence, and the tissues (for happy tears).
It’s my job to meet you in your favorite spot (or show you one of mine), and help you create the day you’ve always dreamed of. I’ve ventured into Yellowstone’s backcountry on horseback to marry a couple. I’ve skied down a mountain in a foot of fresh snow to get the perfect view. I’ve driven through winter storms, changed locations thirty minutes before a ceremony, and once stepped in on Christmas Eve when another officiant cancelled. All in a day’s work.
I do that because your day matters. Not just to you—to me.
Seven WeddingWire Couples’ Choice Awards. Multiple Best of Weddings honors from The Knot. Over 125 five-star reviews. But that’s definitely not why I do this. It’s just the result of showing up for every couple the same way—with my whole heart and my full attention.
Here’s how we get started:
First, check out my wedding package options. You’re welcome to book a free consultation—phone, video, or coffee in person to see which is right for you. We’ll discuss your vision, your vibe, the location you’re dreaming about. I’ll answer your questions, you’ll get a feel for whether we click.
Then, you save the date. Choose your package, lock in your wedding day, and breathe easy knowing this part is handled.
Finally, you get access. My online ceremony portal opens up with all the info you need to plan the big day. You’ll build your ceremony at your own pace, and I’m here to guide you through the whole process. A couple of calls and a few emails to refine the details, and you’ll be ready to walk down the aisle to meet your sweetheart.
My promise to you:
When that music starts and you stare at each other (trying not to laugh!), you won’t have to think. You’ll just get to feel it. That’s the feeling you’ll carry forever. And I’ll be right there making sure every step of the way is magic.
Nature is my church. The mountains are my witnesses. And your love story? That’s the sermon.
I’d love to chat about your plans for the big day and see if we’re a good fit.
Congratulations and Brightest Blessings!!
