Fifteen years. Five hundred weddings. And I still tear up every single time.

I’m Vicki Wiepking, and I believe your ceremony is the heart of your wedding day—not an afterthought, not a formality, but the moment that changes everything.

As a Universal Life Church minister based in Bozeman, Montana, I create personalized ceremonies for all belief systems, from traditional Christian services to completely non-religious celebrations. Whether you’re exchanging vows on a mountaintop, beside a waterfall in Yellowstone, or in your own backyard, I’ll travel to you and help you craft something that feels unmistakably yours.

Here’s what you can expect: responsive communication, an intuitive online ceremony portal where you’ll build your vows and customize the script, professional guidance every step of the way, and a calm, confident presence on your wedding day.

I’ve ventured into Yellowstone’s backcountry on horseback, skied down mountains in fresh snow, and driven through winter storms—because your day matters. Not just to you. To me.

Three simple steps to create a ceremony that feels unmistakably yours.

Take a look at my wedding package options by clicking the link below. You’re welcome to book a free consultation—phone, video, or coffee in person to see which is right for you. We’ll discuss your vision, your vibe, the location you’re dreaming about. I’ll answer your questions, you’ll get a feel for whether we click.

Select the package that fits your needs and fill out the form at the bottom of that page. Then, I’ll send a link to submit the deposit so you can lock in your date and get access to the wedding ceremony portal. After that, you can breathe easy knowing this part is handled.

After you look at the options in the portal, fill out the “Build Your Ceremony” questionnaire and I’ll send back a draft. We will work on it together to make sure it fits your needs completely. I’ll go over everything on our rehearsal call step by step – the processional, the rings, the kiss – so it turns out exactly as you want.

The wedding ceremony portal has all the info to get your marriage license, write your vows, and even tips to wrangle your family on the big day. When it’s time to walk down the aisle, I will guide you every step of the way and the two of you just stare at each other and take in the moment.

Every five-star review humbles me. Every story reminds me why I do this work.

People sometimes ask me, “Vicki, after five hundred weddings, does it still get to you?”

Every. Single. Time.

There’s a moment in every ceremony—and if you’ve been to a really good wedding, you know exactly what I’m talking about—where the whole world goes quiet. It’s usually right when the vows begin. Everyone leans in a little. The couple’s hands are shaking. And then one of them starts to speak, and you can hear the love in every word.

I have the incredible privilege of standing three feet away from that moment. I get to watch two people make the most important promise of their lives to each other. And no matter how many times I’ve witnessed it, it humbles me every time.

How far in advance should we book?

I recommend booking 6-12 months in advance, especially for summer weddings. Most couples are booking within 2-3 months, however, I’ve accommodated couples with just a few days’ notice (or less!). Reach out and we’ll see what we can make work.

Do you perform non-religious ceremonies?

Yes! As a Universal Life Church minister, I create ceremonies for all belief systems—from traditional Christian to interfaith to completely non-religious. Your ceremony will honor your values and traditions, whatever they may be – or not be. It’s about your beliefs, not mine.

Do you have location suggestions?

For sure! I have officiated ceremonies from Yellowstone to Glacier, on ski slopes, mountain peaks, waterfalls, and many remote backcountry locations. I know what spots are not just a pretty view, but also offer parking, a nice flat place to stand (more important than you think!) and easy access for your less mobile guests. Contact me and I’ll share some photos.

Can you help us write our vows?

Absolutely! Vow writing is one of my favorite parts of the process. Depending on your package you’ll get examples of traditional vows, get help writing unique vows, and I even print them into cute little booklets for the big day. It is the part everyone came to hear, and I will make sure they are personal, heartfelt, and natural.

What about the Marriage License?

No worries! I’ve got it covered. The wedding portal has all the info for you, and I make sure that your plans to get your license coordinate with your travel plans. And afterwards, I make sure the document is filed and returned to you properly and promptly.

Spiritual musings. Wedding stories. Relationship wisdom with a modern soul.

I have always said that Nature is my Church and I have been lucky enough to call upon the sacred spaces of Big Sky Country to be the place where I work and play for the last 25 years. Sometimes at the same time! I never know where the next wedding spot will be, as each vista in Montana evokes a sense of eternal wonder and peace that you can’t help but want to scream “I Do!” everywhere you go.

Love brought you together. But it takes more than love to build a marriage that lasts.

Marriage is one of the most exciting things you can do in life and also one of the most serious. Now you actually have to get your act together and become the person your spouse thinks you are. Yes, I’m sure you’re both madly in love, but it takes a bit more than that to establish a solid relationship. Getting married means something a little different to everyone, and we all have our own rules and expectations that we’ll live by – hopefully happily ever after. But we all need to do a little homework before we can truly feel ready to offer the best of ourselves to another person.
